FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How far in advance should we book you for our wedding?

Typically, couples book me about 13 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.

How long will it take to see our pictures?

My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 4-6 weeks after your wedding.

How many pictures will we get?

You can expect about 50-100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.

Do you deliver raw photos?

I don’t give out RAW photos. Every photo you receive will be edited (JPG format) to ensure consistency in colors, brightness, and mood.

Can I have all the unedited photos?

I don’t usually give out the unedited photos.

How do we get our photos? Will we have rights to our images?

You will receive your edited digital images via online gallery, I maintain copyright but you'll have personal use rights and printing rights. I always offer printing options as well if you’re interested.

Do you work with same sex couples, different religions etc?

Yes! I love all love stories.

Do you have insurance?

I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.

What’s your back-up plan if you can’t photograph our wedding as planned?

In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.

Should I add a second photographer?

A second photographer is super beneficial to get coverage of your day. Here’s my suggested guide when it comes to deciding between one photographer or two:

1. Do you want more images of both of you during a first look, or your ceremony entrance? A second shooter can focus on your groom's reaction or your own and you really get both angles very well.

 2. Are you and your groom getting ready in completely different spaces? A second shooter can capture your groom while I spend the morning with you!

3. Do you have a large cocktail hour or are guest candids very important to you? A second shooter can focus on your guests or details.

Ok, we are ready to book! Now what?

Yay! I'd love to work together! After you decide on a package we will move forward with booking. A 50% non-refundable retainer fee for date reservation and both signatures are needed to reserve your date. The rest is due 1 month prior to the event date.

Can I post the photos on social media?

Yes! Please do! I love when people share their images online with friends and family! However, if you do share them, make sure to give me photo credit and include a link back to my photography page within whatever platform you are using. And please don’t apply any additional filters to alter or change them in any way.

What happens if it rains?

For weddings: let’s go along with it! I’ll try to find covered areas or indoor spots for photos, but I also LOVE rain, and I think it’s so romantic! Feel free to rent clear umbrellas for your wedding party and embrace it!

For portrait sessions: Email or Text me! I understand that most people don’t enjoy being wet and cold while being photographed, so if it’s coming down pretty steadily I usually try to reschedule to my next available date. I do like to wait until the day of the shoot to make the final call though since weather can be so unpredictable! Also, if you happen to be like me and enjoy moody photos taken on cloudier days, I’m happy to go for it! As long as it’s light rain and not a torrential downpour, I’m usually happy to shoot in it!

How many weddings are you taking on a year?

As of right now, I only take on a total of 20-25 weddings. This way, I can invest in everything that I do. That way, I can be there for my clients. That way, I have enough time for self-care, mental health days, and quality time with my family.
